Origin: Northwestern United States

Characteristics: Heartwood color is rich golden-brown to yellowish-green, ranging in hue from light to dark sometimes with a large proportion of sapwood. Grain is often irregular or wavy. Also, has distinct odor.

Use: Architectural woodwork and fine furniture.
