Spending time in a forest can be a powerful experience. The fragrance, the beauty, and the intimate connection with nature. We also have a curios connection with trees. They are beautiful and seem comforting, strong and proud. This is something we have all been able to enjoy for generations. Our duty to our children, grandchildren, and future generations is to insure that the strong connection with nature we were able to experience is available for them to experience as well.

The Veneer Source LLC is proud to be part of an industry at the forefront of efficiently utilizing raw materials and harvesting those raw materials in a manner that sustains itself for future generations. The process of producing “veneer” in order to more efficiently utilize our natural resources goes back hundreds of years. Through advances in technology, and through greater social awareness, never has there been a more efficient utilization of forest resources.

We support efforts of selective harvesting, replanting and proper forest management. We believe in the goals of the USGBC Leed program and have FSC Certified® products available upon request.

Preservation Collection

Every tree deserves to be utilized to its fullest potential. The Veneer Source is proud to offer a variety of species that have been reclaimed from rivers, bogs and lake beds, salvaged from buildings or sliced from fallen timbers. 

FSC Certification

TVS is a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified organization. FSC is the world’s leading forest certification system. FSC’s system ensures that forests are harvested and maintained in a well-managed manner, and that recreational, social, economic and local needs are considered. By using FSC certified timber, we are supporting better management of the World’s Forests. 

LEED Qualified Products

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized green building certification system. LEED provides a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. TVS promotes sustainable building and development through the sale of LEED qualified products.

American Tree Farm System

TVS supports the ATFS (American Tree Farm System) through the sale of veneer from ATFS certified forests. The ATFS offers certification to landowners who are committed to good forest management. Woodlands need to be cared for to be healthy. ATFS is the place for landowners to get the tools they need to take good care of their woods and protect and enhance its benefits to our environment.
