Latin name: Tetraclinis articulata

Origin: Northern Africa

Characteristics: Rich golden-brown to orange-red in color. Extremely lustrous and fine textured. Scale of the burl pattern and size of the round burls are often small. The burl pattern is often a “bud” type pattern you also see in redwood burl.

Use: Architectural woodwork, fine furniture and marquetry.
